Skulltag offers many different options to allow you to configure the appearance and behavior of Skulltag to work just like you like it. The menu system gives you access to setting many of these options.
Loads up a new game in single player mode. You get to pick from three scenarios, including:
Hell on Earth - The original Doom II levels
The Mortal Conflict - Featuring the new Skulltag deathmatch levels
Tournament of the Damned - The new Skulltag levels in the "skulltag gameplay" mode.
The Impending Nightmare - Featuring Skulltags new game mode Invasion **If you are in a network game, the network game will end at this point.
The multiplayer menu contains many new options for geared towards multiple player play. With the new in-game browser, you can dynamically join an leave multiplayer games. With the skirmish menu, you can set up your own multiplayer-like games.
Skirmish
The skirmish menu will allow you to run a single player game in a way that emulates a multiplayer game. You can choose your gameplay mode, level, bots that will play with you, along with a slew of other options.
Level - Sets the level that the skirmish game will begin on.
Game mode - Sets the gameplay mode that the skirmish game will be in.
Timelimit - Sets the timelimit (in minutes) for deathmatch and team games (CTF, ST, etc.)
Fraglimit - Sets the fraglimit for deathmatch games.
Pointlimit - Sets the pointlimit for team games.
Skill - Setting for the skill level of the game.
Botskill - Setting for the bots' skill level.
Bot Setup - Brings up a menu that allows you to add bots to your skirmish game.
Gameplay Options - Brings up the dmflags menu.
Start Game! - Begins the skirmish game with the above settings.
Browse Servers
The in-game browser allows you to browse for active Skulltag servers on the Internet, and on your LAN. With this, you can dynamically join and leave these games at your leisure!
Player Setup
This menu allows you to configure how your player appears to players in the game. You can configure your name, skin, as well as many other options.
Spectate
This command will send you to spectator mode if you're in a game. You can also use the "spectate" command in the console.
Call Vote
This command allow you to call a vote to change the map, fraglimit, pointlimit and more. Must have 2 or more players to call a vote.
Join Game
This command will make you attempt to join a game if you're spectating. If a duel is in progress, this will place you in line to duel next. You can also hit your "use" button in the game to do this.
Allow Skins
Option to allow yourself, and other players to use skins. You can chose to turn only cheat skins off, or all skins off with this option.
Allow Medals
Option to allow yourself to view medals awarded to yourself, and other players.
Allow Icons
Option to allow yourself to view various icons above other players' heads.
Allow Taunts
Option to allow yourself and other players to taunt.
Identify Target
Option to display the name of the player your crosshair passes over.
Server Password
Sets the password that you will use when you join a passworded server. If the server has a password set, this password must match that server's password!
Join Password
Sets the password that you will use when you attempt to join a game from the spectators. If the server enforces a join password, and you do not have the correct join password set, you can watch a game from the spectators, but you cannot join it.
Start as Spectator
Option to start as a spectator when you join a server.
Connection Type
Sets your connection type. The higher the connection type, the more bandwidth will be used during your game, and also the game will "sync up" better. Cable is recommended, but if you ping tends to spike when a lot of bandwidth is being used during a game, you may want to lower it.
Don't Restore Frags
Allows you to toggle the option of restoring your frags if you leave a deathmatch game and re-enter.
